THOMAS M. HAZLETT, the firm’s founder, has more than 17 years of high-level executive search consulting experience. He has personally conducted senior level search engagements for clients in a number of industries and functional areas. Tom knows the value of long-term relationships, having served several clients for more than ten years.

Prior to entering executive search, Tom had a successful 16-year career in corporate marketing and advertising agency management, working with some of the country’s leading consumer products companies, including The Quaker Oats Company, Procter and Gamble, Miles Laboratories, Ford Motor Company and Sara Lee.

Tom earned an M.B.A. in Marketing and International Business from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in American Studies from Amherst College. In addition, he served three years of active duty as an officer in the United States Navy. Tom is very involved in direct marketing industry affairs, and currently sits on the boards of several professional, charitable and civic organizations.


DIANE BANIS, directs the firm’s search operations. Diane brings more than 20 years of recruiting and research management experience to bear on meeting client expectations and insuring that all aspects of the search process run effectively. Diane previously served as Vice President of Operations for a Chicago-based retained firm, as well as Director of Operations for a high-tech dot.com search firm. She has successfully conducted searches across a number of industries, including financial services, direct marketing, insurance, manufacturing, telecommunications and consumer products.


JEANNE BOYCE is a lead recruiting consultant for Hazlett Associates with more than nine years of search experience. After several years in international marketing, she transitioned into recruiting where she has worked on senior assignments in numerous industries, most recently concentrating on financial services and direct marketing. Jeanne’s quiet persistence and pleasant manner have helped lead to consistently successful search engagements, and have won the praise of both clients and candidates.


BARBARA BERTUCCI and JENNIFER BRUNKER, with six and eight years of recruiting
research experience respectively, are both integral parts of the firm’s research team. Barbara
researches target companies and works on candidate development. And Jenny does both traditional and Internet research, and identifies appropriate individuals to call as sources or potential candidates.
